Montorlin is a charming village with a sunny aspect and many original Savoyard houses. The bottom lift of La Plagne is at Montchavin , about a 10 minute walk along a woodland path from Montorlin or a couple of hairpins up the mountain by car. Montchavin is a small, family-oriented ski area with predominately traditional buildings in the village. There is a range of shops and restaurants close to the lifts, an ESF ski school located next to the primary school and a cinema. The main lift rises up to Les Coches, on the La Plagne side of the Vanoise Express cable car, which links to Les Arcs. This makes up Paradiski - a vast area of on and off-piste skiing. Montorlin is an ideal year-round location and in the summer the surrounding area provides a large range of outdoor activities including walking, mountaineering, mountain biking, white water rafting, parapenting and glacier skiing. Early reservation may allow a purchaser some flexibility in final specs and layouts. |
